McNellis Celebrates Joint Venture with Oglebay Resort and Conference Center

WHEELING, WV (September 25, 2009) – On September 22,  McNellis celebrated its join venture with Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling, West Virginia. The partnership was officially kicked off at Wilson Lodge at 3 pm.

McNellis will now host the majority of their Institutes at Oglebay – a 1,700-acre estate ideal for group events and meetings. Pat McNellis believes that this new partnership will greatly add to the success and impact of their Institutes: “Oglebay is a beautiful meeting and gathering place that will allow our participants to think freely and critically in a friendly and open environment. They have all the tools and systems in place so our Institutes will run smoothly.”

Scott Schenerlein of Oglebay also believes the venture will provide professionals with an outstanding outlet for creative planning in a unique atmosphere: “Compression Planning has never been needed more than right now, and Oglebay is equipped to handle all of the McNellis events in a beautiful setting. The partnership will provide the McNellis Team with a host site and Oglebay will receive much visibility for future group stays and events.”

Oglebay is a beautifully landscaped public retreat, studied by planners worldwide as the only self-supporting public municipal in operation. It stands as a successful tribute to Earl W. Oglebay, a notable achievement of the Wheeling Park Commission, and a credit to the many benefactors and organizations involved in its growth.

All of Oglebay’s 15 meeting rooms feature individual lighting, sound, and temperature controls. With over 20,000 square feet of meeting space, 24 new storyboards, flexibility and versatility, Oglebay is the perfect place to sharpen Compression Planning skills and accomplish big things.
